Who are we?

We are Robyn and Hannah. We're busy, working woman, on a mission to make shopping for work wear MUCH easier. On returning from our overseas endeavors, we found it hard (too hard) to find good quality corporate clothes for women in New Zealand. So instead of complaining about it, we decided we'd change it. We don't think it's too much to ask to get fresh, high-quality styles that will wear beyond a season, but we know you're busy too and spending hours running around a mall just isn't always possible. 

What is a capsule wardrobe?

By definition, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of a few essential items of clothing that can be put together in a variety of ways to make many different looks. We would add to that: an effective capsule wardrobe must be made up of well-designed pieces that don't go out of fashion. An Issue may include a shirt, skirt and coat, which work brilliantly together, but can also be combined with seasonal pieces and accessories to make the look your own.

We believe a capsule wardrobe is the secret to a current and "put-together" look. Each season we deliver a capsule collection of key items for the season. These pieces can be combined together, or in numerous and unique ways with already have in your wardrobe.

How is Issue any different to shopping elsewhere?

We are looking to simplify your shopping experience by releasing four capsules each year, one for each season. This is unique in the fashion world. Chain stores tend to release clothes throughout the year, pumping out new styles, following the latest fads, and providing cheap 'fast fashion.' Classic European fashion houses release large collections only twice a year: spring and autumn. At Issue Clothing Co. we aim to give you the best of both worlds. One high-quality, fashion-forward, limited run each season. 

If you're a classic and just want to get your basics up to date, you might just choose to purchase once. If you like to keep things fresh seasonally, you can purchase the capsule each season. You'll get the same perks --- free shipping and easy returns - no matter your preference!
