2020 was a year where things changed in a major way very quickly and for a lot of people. It’s natural when change occurs that we reassess, with fresh eyes we consider ways to adjust and grow. You may be familiar with this feeling if you’ve ever made a big move (say to another city or country) or started a new career. It can be a great opportunity to kick unwanted habits, change focus -- while it’s unnerving at times, it’s also just a little bit exciting. Human beings are both scared of and wired for change.
With that in mind we are moving into 2021 with some new focuses for Issue Clothing and we want to share those with you all so you understand how we’re evolving (with and for you) -- firstly we are launching a new site and logo -- this is a natural evolution that we believe strongly in and it reflects our intention to provide a quality, luxurious product for you our customer, at an accessible price and in a way that works with your year. We hope you like it!
You also may have noticed we have moved away from 4 capsules per year and that’s for a good reason -- we felt that it was too much product, too much newness and this was not in full alignment with our values of creating investment pieces for your wardrobe. We have moved to a two season year (Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter) and this will reflect the intuitive shift from a cold weather wardrobe to a warm weather wardrobe. In addition to this we have had a lot of feedback about our essential styles and customers wanting more of those pieces that are really essential to a work wardrobe, think blazers, suiting, classic black pants, solid shirting -- we are going to aim to have these in stock as much as we can and on pre-order if not available. This is a new way of operating which will ensure we are creating the product that you want and need. If we are out of stock in your size, always email us and we will do what we can to get you the piece you’re looking for.
We are here to help you. We know not everyone has the time or energy to put together a capsule wardrobe, or seek out the assistance of a stylist. We want you to know that we are so happy to help you with this side of things. Consider us a resource. Reach out to us for help with sizing, styling and body shape advice.
We are always working hard to improve all our styles and love to get your input and feedback on our product -- so please keep this up. We are here to create amazing clothing for YOU -- we believe that no other brand is focused on the busy working woman quite like we are, making it easy and stress-free to keep her in comfortable and stylish clothing that she loves and feels amazing in. We are so pleased when we hear we are achieving this goal for you. We might not always get it perfect though so we need your input to make improvements over the long term.
From the start we were and continue to be committed to providing ethically made clothing for you. The majority of our range continues to be made right here in New Zealand with the exception of the jeans which we source ethically from Melbourne.
