Well, we can't kid ourselves anymore... it's February and 2019 is officially in full swing. While you might still be enjoying beach days and long Summer nights (we certainly are!) Autumn is right around the corner and you'll be starting to see the stores change out their ranges, and begin the endless barrage of "end of season" sales. The change of season transition time is often when we can get carried away and impulsively pick-up items without much planning or thought. Before things go too far, it's important to stop and review and plan what you really need for the season.
Personally, I've been inspired by the recent Kondo craze to do some serious sorting and tidying. Just a few trips to the donation bins and local consignment stores later, the house is feeling lighter and fresher already. Who knew clutter could be so tiring? The changing seasons is truly a great time for these activities.
Simplicity and freedom is really what the Capsule Wardrobe Concept is all about and the team here at Issue strive to live this every day. We want to help others embrace the sheer JOY of a smaller, more intentional wardrobe, a curated collection of styles that are just right and always "spark joy" when worn. An example of this is our Capsule Wardrobe Guide and No Regrets Shopping Planner, last year we also added the In-Home and Remote Capsule Consultations. These are all resources that you can access to help review your existing wardrobe and make an intentional and sustainable change.
We hope that before you shop with us you choose to explore our blog and learn a little about how to incorporate some "Capsule" thinking into your existing wardrobe. You can even message or email us with your questions. We LOVE to help! It's a journey and we know (from personal experience) that it is life-changing.
With our latest release, The Work Issue, you will see that we've focused on pieces that are designed for a work wardrobe. We have launched our NEW Enterprise Suit this is a more versatile suit option with improved the fit (read: a little more stretch). We have also restocked our Executive Suit (our Wool option, slightly more formal, this was previously called The Enterprise Suit) in response to it's popularity last year. The style of these two, in terms of shape and cut, are similar and both come in the Standard and Tall lengths. As a part of this release, we have launched new versions of our classic La Chemise, now in Burgundy and Navy and the Silk option in the Navy and Duck Egg Blue. This is in response to requests for more natural fibres. We have also been focused on providing a range of colour options, again in response to your requests. Keep all the good ideas coming!
We are excited for another year and look forward to helping more women, just like you, build a better wardrobe. If you're interested in keeping up to date you can sign up to receive our emails (below), or follow along on our Instagram or Facebook pages.
Happy Tidying!
